Spintronics is a game-changing technology
There is a need to achieve both a carbon-neutral energy-saving society and a society that is easy to live in (Society 5.0) using AI/IoT, DX, etc. Semiconductor technology that runs at a dramatically low power consumption (less than 1/100th) while achieving sufficient computing performance will make it possible. Spintronics semiconductors are the most promising candidate for this technology, and they are a game-changing technology for energy saving that Japan has been leading. In addition to the IoT field such as smartwatches, SRAM and embedded flash memory, which are used for cache memory in CPUs, have already begun to be replaced.
